(a native Californian (Bay Area) descended from Russian Jews on my dad's side, German Jews and Heinz 57 on my mom's Just finished up with The Longest Divorce In History??? (3 years and 3 months to the day - finalized Feb 7, 2008). If you must marry, do so carefully. but - my kids and I are the proud owners of Our Very Own House as of July 12, 2006! mom of two great kids, 10 and 12 (I started this procreation stuff fairly late in life) My third child is our chi, Bubba, 8 pounds of pure grit! We adopted him in June 07 and he's as crazy as the rest of us =) a survivor of chronic depression in recovery (from a bunch of stuff) A refugee from organized religion but active in the LDS church to support my kids. (HUGE disconnect that I wrestle with every day, because I believe that whether we call God Mohammad, Buddha, or believe the path is through Jesus - it's all good. an unabashed patriot. I think the Bushies have done this country a great disservice. head of household (work pays the bills but can sap the soul) a cosmic queen at heart the parent of an ADHD and bi-polar child - my 12- year old son. Still learning that the world of ADHD and bipolar disorder is a journey to be reinvented daily, and that moms get to set boundaries too. the parent of a wanna-be actress and dancer, who gets this amazing aptitude from somewhere other than her mom's side of the family =).and a boy who is poetry in motion on a baseball field! (he'd NOT be happy with that description, as it's not manly-man enough) guilty of having a twisted sense of humor have moved from an abysmal to an adequate housekeeper (I'd rather play than mop or make beds) not consistently organized, patient, kill houseplants...but I now own a yard and haven't killed anything large for over a year. Only two small plants bit the dust recently, so there is hope. go Miracle-Gro! Am learning to crochet! Slowly, very slowly. and learning to C & W dance! Also, very slowly. With the great new update tool that LJ added, I keep public entries public for about six weeks...what seems logical at one point may look like insanity to me later! I go through quiet periods where I don't update my journal and I do my best to read my friends' journals but am not always successful.
